Bittersweet

She was too young, he was too young, so it didn't last forever.

But when they went their separate ways, each carried a picture of the other, squirreled away in their wallets. And every now and then, at exactly the same moment, they both look at these pictures and sigh, remembering cool autumn breezes, and the warmth and wonder of young love.

Bittersweet memories can be most delightful.

This is one of our more popular shades - and it's finally back! Rich, warm autumn coral lights up your face and really makes blue and green eyes pop. We often hear from the cool-toned ladies "Oh no - I could never wear an orange lipstick" and then they try Bittersweet. Boom. This shade is the bomb - casual enough for daily wear, yet polished enough for a night on the town. And those eyes. Gorgeous. We've had trouble keeping this one in stock, so get her while she's available! Satin finish, with our delicious signature vanilla flavor.

COLOR: Bittersweet color (autumn/russet)
FINISH: Satin

    Finally! A lipstick I love

Posted by KK September 28,2015 on August 29th, 2015

I purchased this lipstick on a whim while shopping in Minneapolis. I'm a lipstick junkie so I know my lipsticks. I LOVE this product. It's moisturizing, the color (Bittersweet) is perfect so please don't discontinue it! Have already ordered more.

    Me, but better

Posted by txcatgirl on June 18th, 2015

If I had been more adroitly designed, Bittersweet would have been the color of my lips. It's a great neutral that goes with just about anything, doesn't look harsh and is almost a no-makeup makeup look, except that the definition it gives (without a lip brush) is more polished than that. I just received Tempest because the description of that shade sounded like the mauve-y version of Bittersweet. If you've ever wanted in on the trend for orange lipstick but didn't want it to look clownish or harsh, Bittersweet is the color to try. Also, I usually use lip butter as a base because most lipsticks are a little dry to apply directly. Not this one. No primer needed.

    Smooth finish, lasts all day

I used to wear only the Dessa color by Elixery, but am completely smitten with this shade. Wears smooth, no cracks or creases on the lips and never runs past the lip line.

    Fabulous product!

Posted by Mary Boas Hayes on September 21st, 2014

As someone who is very particular about the lipsticks I like, Elixery's Bittersweet is fabulous in all ways. It looks pretty, tastes scrumptious, goes on smoothly and stays on quite awhile. The case is pretty, the pricepoint manageable and I am so happy that I discovered this product in the middle of the Street Fair!

    Gorgeous color for the fall

Posted by Zelda on September 16th, 2013

Beautiful long-lasting color that doesn't feel dry or taste like chemicals. In full effect, it's too rich for my complexion, so I usually dab it off a bit for that russet-kissed look, a very natural combo of wine and fruit color.

    Warm and comfy

Posted by Diana on April 23rd, 2013

This is my ideal color. Like all Elixery lipsticks, it's comfortable to wear, and doesn't dry out your lips. This color is warm - perfect for olive skin. My favorite lipstick of all time.

    Bold!

Posted by Unknown on October 18th, 2012

It's a bold & chic lipstick color. Daytime and evening appropriate. I like it a lot! And like the fact that the color lasts a long time. Not to many applications throughout the day.
