Mossberry & Gin

Finally, a fruity perfume for grownups! So we blended tart Canadian Mossberries with refreshing Juniper-infused gin, and the result was pure magic.

Fruit based perfumes often tilt toward sugary sweet, but we decided to break the mold. We wanted to build a fragrance that showcased the tartness of the Canadian Mossberry, but without adding that extra sugary note that is so often found in fruity scents.

The main inspiration behind this fragrance was a bright red sea of ripe, Canadian Mossberries in the wilds of Manitoba. These berries grow deep in bogs and are harvested in the autumn to make jams and other delights. Mossberries are tart and tangy, citrusy and fruity - but not sweet.

In the same cold Northern climate we fell in love with the pungent aroma of powdery blue Juniper berries. These berries* are used as a cooking spice in certain cuisines and in folklore, they're said to help protect your home from negative energies. Famously, Juniper berries are what gives the distinctive flavor to Gin. And who doesn't want a perfume with a bit of Gin?

This magical infusion of Mossberry and Juniper is topped with a light touch of lime for a little extra brightness.

Mossberry & Gin is a delicious, sparkling fruit fragrance that is decidedly adult, never childish. It's light and fresh, perfect for spring and summer (or, for any time you wished it was spring or summer while living in the frozen North.) *(For you botany nerds – did you know that Juniper berries aren't really a berry at all? They're actually a tiny pine cone that has not yet emerged. Smart is sexy!)
