Patchouli oil is native to India, where it has been used as a medicinal since ancient times. Steam distilled from dried, fermented leaves of the Pogostemon cablin bush, patchouli is prized as a perfume fixative and aphrodisiac, providing an earthy, sexy note to any blend. Patchouli blends well with sweet flowers such as rose, ylang and jasmine, as well as with frankincense, lavender, bergamot, and sandalwood. Cautions: Highly concentrated essential oil. Dilute before using. As with all essential oils, keep out of reach of children.
